Hypnosis & hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is one of the oldest of all therapeutic techniques and was even practised in Ancient Egypt thousands of years ago.

It’s an altered state of consciousness very similar to daydreaming. You experience waking hypnosis several times a day, for instance, when your attention is fixed on one thing, to the exclusion of all else, or when you are lost in a really good book.

All hypnotic states are typically characterised by incredibly pleasant feelings of relaxation. Hypnotherapy is completely safe and there are absolutely no harmful side effects.

In 1955, the British Medical Association (BMA) endorsed the practice of hypnosis in medical school education. Since then, it has become a valuable addition to conventional medical treatment.

In hypnosis, the conscious mind is bypassed and the unconscious mind becomes very susceptible to positive suggestions, especially if those suggestions are tied to a goal you already know you want to achieve.

Clinical hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for the treatment and relief of a variety of physical and psychological symptoms.

There is much research to suggest that the mind can heal the body and, in doing so, may help slow down the aging process. Hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool in that mind-body process.
